Jordan Koehler breaks through for first Super Late Model victory at home track of Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park

MOUNT AIRY, N.C. (08/26/24) – Jordan Koehler enjoyed a monumental night on Saturday as he notched his first career Super Late Model victory in the Ultimate Showdown at Ultimate Motorsports and RV Park aboard his Koehler Motorsports / Ultimate Towing & Recovery / Capital Waste No. 114 Longhorn Chassis Late Model.
Koehler drove ahead of Gray Parton on lap 13 and repelled a charging Ben Watkins in the closing laps of the 50-lap feature to claim his first Ultimate Southeast Series triumph and the $7,500 payday.
“Man, what a great night for Koehler Motorsports,” Koehler said. “Big thanks to every sponsor on this car that helps us out. To get my first Super Late Model win here in Elkin is pretty special to my family. I also want to shout out my great crew for all their hard work. This win was a total team effort.”
Saturday saw Koehler Motorsports pilots Jordan and Evan Koehler return to action with a short trip to Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) for Ultimate Southeast Series-sanctioned Ultimate Showdown.
With 28 Super Late Models entered at the 4/10-mile oval, Jordan automatically locked himself into the A-Main after laying down the quickest lap in qualifying while Evan earned his way in through a B-Main.
Rolling off from the pole in the 40-lap feature, Koehler slipped back to second early before regaining the lead on lap 13. He held off a late charge from Ben Watkins to capture his first career Super Late Model victory and the $7,500 winner's payday. Cla Knight finished in third to round out the podium.
Evan finished 14th when the checkers flew.

Jordan Koehler will enter a single event this weekend as the Baltes Classic on Sunday serves as a tune-up for the 54th annual World 100 at Eldora Speedway. The Valvoline American Late Model Iron-Man Series event offers a $5,000 top prize.
The team will remain in the area as next Wednesday’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America kicks off the World 100 weekend. The entire week follows:
