Jimmy Owens heads to Iowa with Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series
Following the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa), Jimmy Owens was among 31 Late Models signed in on Thursday night for the Slocum 50.
Charging to a transfer spot in his heat race, Owens started 11th in the $15,555-to-win event and slipped back to 19th after 50 laps.
Friday's NAPA Know How 50 at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Ill.) was postponed due to unfavorable forecasts as well as Saturday's Diamond Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.).
