Koehler Motorsports trio attend Sidney Langston Memorial; Owens 13th in Mountain Moonshine Classic
Jimmy Owens kicked off the Koehler Motorsports weekend at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the Mountain Moonshine Classic with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
With $60,000 on the line in two nights of racing, Owens recorded 13th-place finishes in both features on Friday and Saturday.
Joining the Koehler brothers at Ultimate Motorsports & RV Park (Elkin, N.C.) on Sunday, Jimmy piloted a backup car while Jordan was in his familiar No. 114. Jordan also competed in the Modified Mafia event while Evan joined the 602 Late Model field.
Owens finished 15th in the $15,000-to-win main event while Jordan scored a pair of fifth-place finishes in both the Super Late Model and Modified features. Evan picked up a podium finish in third for the 602 Late Model finish.
