Jimmy Owens closes out Speedweeks at Golden Isles Speedway during Deuces Wild weekend

Jimmy Owens was one of the 45 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series entries at Golden Isles Speedway (Waynesville, Ga.) on Saturday after the first portion of the doubleheader was lost to heavy rain showers.

Qualifying the Koehler Motorsports No. 20 machine third-fastest, Owens rolled off second in his heat race but fell back out of a transfer in fifth. Making the $20,000 main event through a B-Main, Owens pulled off on lap 8 of 50 to record a 26th-place finish.
