Jimmy Owens and Jordan Koehler tackle DIRTcar Nationals at Volusia

Fresh off a week of Modified action at the track, Jordan Koehler returned to Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) for the first night of the Late Model DIRTcar Nationals.

Following a fifth-place finish in his heat on Monday, the reminder of the event was pushed to Wednesday night where Jordan would record a 19th-place finish.

Racing into Tuesday's $7,000-to-win with a runner-up finish in the heat, Koehler faded in the 25-lap feature to finish 13th.

Jordan's teammate Jimmy Owens joined him on Wednesday and both drivers landed inside the Top-10 in their respective features with Jimmy finishing 10th and Jordan finishing seventh.

With the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series sanctioning the remainder of the weekend, Owens was an early retiree in the main event while Koehler completed all 35-laps to finish 23rd.

On Friday evening, Owens secured a 14th-place outing while Jordan finished outside the Top-15 in 20th.

Saturday's $16,000-to-win DIRTcar Nationals finale was cancelled ahead of time with rough weather in the forecast.

Owens is currently 14th in the World of Outlaw point standings.
