Runner-up outing in HTFSDS National 100 at East Alabama Motor Speedway
Returning to the site of his $10,000 triumph in August, Jimmy Owens visited East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.) for the 49th-running of the National 100 with the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series.
With time trials and heat races slated for Saturday, Owens laid down the fourth-quickest lap in his group and took home the victory in his heat race.
For the $49,000-to-win finale on Sunday, Jimmy started the 100-lap main event from the fourth position and wound up on the podium in second after the extended feature. He trailed race-winner Chris Madden while Kyle Bronson, Ricky Thornton Jr., and Tyler Erb completed the Top-5.
