Pair of Top-10 finishes in Show-Me 100 weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway

Jimmy Owens began his Memorial Day Weekend at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday evening with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for the first day of the Show-Me 100.

With a stacked 59 car field on hand, Owens followed up the seventh-fastest lap in his qualifying group with a third-place run in his heat race. For the $6,000-to-win main event, Jimmy moved forward four spots to land inside the Top-10.

In Friday's Tribute to Don and Billie Gibson, Owens topped the charts in his qualifying group before finishing runner-up in his heat. For the second $6,000-to-win feature, Jimmy made up one spot in the 40-lap feature to record a seventh-place outing.

For the Show-Me 100 finale on Saturday afternoon, Owens had locked himself into the 100-lap main event by placing fourth in the weekend point standings. For the $50,000-to-win Show-Me 100, Owens faded throughout the feature from his fourth-place starting position and wound up 13th when the checkered flag flew.
