Jimmy Owens records two Top-10 finishes with Lucas Oil in Iowa

Less than 24 hours after competing in the rain-delayed Farmer City 74, Jimmy Owens was in action with the Castrol FloRacing Night in America miniseries at Marshalltown Speedway (Marshalltown, Iowa) on Tuesday afternoon.

Following a seventh-to-third charge in his heat race, Owens was slated to start the 50-lap main event from the sixth-row. For the $23,023-to-win feature, Jimmy was an early retiree on lap 35.

For another $23,023-to-win Castrol FloRacing Night in America event on Wednesday at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa), Owens was fastest in his qualifying before fading in the feature later on in the evening to finish just outside the Top-10 in 11th.

Joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) on Friday at 300 Raceway (Farley, Iowa) for the You Call We Haul 50, Jimmy picked up the last transfer spot in his heat race before making up a handful of spots in the A-Main to record a seventh-place finish.

The extended race-week came to close at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Saturday afternoon where Owens would win his heat race before landing a Top-10 finish in the $15,000 main event.
