Jimmy Owens follows Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series for triple-header weekend

After two months off from Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition, Jimmy Owens entered his Koehler Motorsports No. 20 into competition at Atomic Speedway (Chillicothe, Ohio) for the Buckeye State 50.

Following the third-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Owens recorded a third-place finish in his heat which set him up to start 10th in the main event. For the $12,000-to-win feature, Jimmy settled for a 15th-place outing.

For another $12,000-to-win event on Friday at Ponderosa Speedway (Junction City, Ky.), Jimmy finished fifth in his heat before going on to win his B-Main. Rolling off 17th in the John Bradshaw Memorial, Owens was an early retiree on lap 20.

Capping off the weekend at Florence Speedway (Union, Ky.) on Saturday, Owens transferred to the A-Main with a third-place finish in his heat race. For the $15,000-to-win main event, Jimmy battled mid-pack throughout the Ralph Latham Memorial and ended up with a 13th-place outing.
